Peter has worked on both sides of the TV camera. He is a regular on many of British television’s most popular programmes: including being a founding-dragon on the BBC’s ground-breaking business programme Dragons’ Den for nine series. He has powered around the track on Top Gear, vanished on stage in The Magicians, guested on James Cordon’s World Cup Live and been a team-player on A Question of Sport and Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
Peter has also raised large sums of money for Sport Relief, Comic Relief and even competed in the kitchen with fellow dragons on a charity Come Dine With Me Special in support of Children In Need.
Peter combined his media and entrepreneurial know-how in a new concept for the USA TV network, ABC. Working with Simon Cowell, they developed a new format called American Inventor that grabbed audiences across the US.

American Inventor
Peter’s production company, Peter Jones TV Ltd, worked with Simon Cowell’s, SiCo and FreeMantle Media, to create a new business reality show, American Inventor, for the USA’s largest television network, ABC. It was commissioned for two series and also aired in the UK on Virgin. More details

Tycoon
Tycoon, based on the American Inventor format, aired on ITV in summer 2007. It was presented by Peter as he set off in search of a new entrepreneurs with ideas that he could invest in and help get into the market. More details
