American Inventor comes to the UK

My TV series, American Inventor, is shown in the UK for the first time tonight on Virgin 1.American Inventor judges

The show is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for aspiring American inventors to win £1 million of funding for their business idea.

Watch how I and my panel of judges, ex-boxer George Foreman, lingerie chief Sara Blakely and business supremo Pat Croce undergo a nationwide tour of America in search of the next big thing.

You'll see it wasn't always an easy ride as we watch the great, the good - and, well, the frankly bonkers pitch their ideas. Once we had a shortlist, we then helped make the best ideas a reality.

Among the highlights (or should that be lowlights) which stick in my mind are the teddy bear which soothingly says "everything is going to be all right", numerous toilet-based products and an over-engineered crash helmet that grips the shoulders as well as the head.

If you don't want to know who wins, I suggest you use search engines carefully, because the winner is well known in America!

I'm delighted the series is being aired on Virgin1 at 9m from tonight (Tuesday), Virgin Media channel 122, Freeview channel 20 and on Sky 121.
