I am delighted Dragons' Den is back for the fifth series tonight (Monday 15 October) at 9pm on BBC Two.
This run will be one of the longest ever - nine shows in total, taking us almost up to Christmas.
It is always great meeting so many budding entrepreneurs and this season has been no different in bringing such a variety of interesting and surprising ideas to the table.
It is also terrific to welcome the new Dragon, James Caan, to the Den - although I am finding his investment strategy can be mystifying at times!
For me, Dragons' Den is exciting to film as it can suddenly catapult an idea or product to great success, extremely quickly.
We've seen it happen with - among others - Levi Roots (Reggae Reggae Sauce), Imran Hakim (iTeddy) and Huw Gwyther (Wonderland magazine), so let's hope similar successes can be replicated this time.
The producers know, though, that it makes great TV to include a handful of crazy ideas. And they've certainly continued to keep us entertained during this series!
The only thing missing from this series were a couple of medical professionals in white coats, waiting in the wings to cart away some of the people who presented to us.
As we've seen, every series is different and I hope that you will enjoy watching this series as much as I have enjoyed making it.
My grateful thanks to the production team for all their hard work in looking after us so well during the long filming days.
