The golf event is the first of the sporting challenges set to take place this year, followed by tennis in June, shooting in July and, subject to final confirmation, sailing later in the year. In addition, there is the Enterprise Business Challenge, which kicked off on this website on 5th May 2010 (find out more here).
The events offer business professionals the opportunity to compete, network and help support the work of the Peter Jones Foundation by raising money for Forgotten Children and the National Enterprise Academy.
Companies have also got behind the events, such as leading financial and business advisor Grant Thornton, which is the primary sponsor of the Enterprise Golf Challenge, as well as many other organisations, which have either purchased team places or donated items for the charity auction.
Said Peter Jones: “We’ve always staged events to raise money for my Foundation but this year we are really stepping up to a new level so that we can offer a better experience for those who take part, promote more widely the work of the Foundation and, most importantly, raise even more money to help give young people a brighter future through Forgotten Children and the National Enterprise Academy.”
